I would leave on the 7 am ferry (check the schedules) you will probably make it to the airport by 10:00 am which should give you plenty of time. Worst case is you have to wait too long for the bus and end up paying for a taxi (I think they run around $40). I wouldnt panic though, we have done...

Yeah you should be fine with 3mm. What made the water temps even worse this week was the wind coming out of the north bringing cooler air. Compounded with rough seas...I froze!

Yep port has been closed since yesterday midday. Wind is still blowing and waves are big and choppy. Hopefully tomorrow this weather will pass. Went to the east side today and it was calm and beautiful. Still happy to be here in paradise!

Hey. We were at Santa rosa too! It was beautiful and very slow current. Our second was at San Francisco and same story. Didn't understand why they closed the port yesterday until about 6:30 or so when the winds picked up!

There are two reasons I love Coz...the diving and the food! My favorite places to eat are Kinta and La Cocay....followed by the Argentina Empanada place that I can never remember the name of and The Mission. Where do ya'll like to eat dinner?

Wow Mahjong...you described Belize perfectly! The only time we saw it get a little crazy on the island is when we went to the "Chicken Drop"!

We have done both Belize and Cozumel and prefer Cozumel because of the diving, food, and overall cost. Having said that, if Belize was easy and inexpensive to get to, we would go again. We stayed on Ambergris Caye in a condo and dove at Ambergris and did one day of diving in Southern Belize...
