Hi Kathleen,
Friend of mine has recently bought a reg set with 2 RG2015 seconds. Both breathe wet and she asked me to take a look at them. Mouthpieces are good and venturi lever o-rings are good. Exhaust valves appear good as well. Diaphragms are not torn but it looks like they are not seated...
I set the dial on the stick, watch it throughout the fill to keep from blowing up my garage and then check with a second analyser when the tank comes of the whip. Paraniod? Maybe, but I did dive 32% to 160 fsw once and that will NEVER happen again.
Here's an idea of what you'll see. This dive was 80 something max depth. Good vis (not too uncommon) and no current (not so common). Only you can know for sure if you are ready for something like this. Hire a guide if you have to and enjoy. It will add to your experience.

Definitely change the battery. Those computers are great but they start acting weird when the battery gets low and every time I've changed mine the low battery warning was not showing.
You got it. If they are delivered then you're right - it is likely 100% O2. If you see anything else delivered it would be Helium or maybe Argon. Forget about those for now. "Banks" are just storage and would be permanently plumbed to the compressor. If they are using the compressor to mix then...
Sorry you didn't get that. I'll back up some and try to be more clear.
The "tanks of gas" available to members I'm going to guess are what's called banks. They are large storage tanks filled from a compressor and then used to fill smaller scuba tanks without the need to fill directly from the...
I'll nitpick first just to make something clear.
The tank/valve will be exposed to 100% O2 during partial pressure fills, that term relating to a method of making nitrox - versus continuous blending which is another method.
To answer your question, the fraction of O2 in the fill has no...
Thx,
I am using the Pursuit lens on the original housing. Far as I can tell it's the same thing Mako is selling, but the Mako version wasn't available when I bought the camera. Flat lens is a must have for diving. The video was taken over the course of a day - maybe 5 or 6 drops - so the vis...

Lots of info but I think most of it beyond where the OP is at this point. I'll add these:
- Situational awareness and the practice/training to be more aware will serve you well and now is a good time for you to work on this. No good to clear your mask and find yourself deeper than target depth...
You wrote that your computer said total bottom time for dive 2 was 68 min. What it really told you was TRT (total run time) of the dive was 68 min. You yourself said you left 78 ft after 12 minutes. No computer will ever match up with tables since tables assume square profiles and computers use...
Definitely the battery. They start acting that way and it is way before the low battery warning ever indicates. I've had it after 200 dives on a battery and also after 40 or so. Guess not all batteries are the same state of the shelf. Just change to a fresh one and you'll be good to go.
It was just a sanity check. I figured I misread. I said "Gas Blender" but it is actually "Gas Mixer". Really handy to have on my phone since it's always with me.
