    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

Yes my understanding is that its something to help prolong the function of the base of the zipper and its seal, by preventing it from deforming when you're pulling it apart while donning the suit. It's not crucial but definitely will affect longevity. I'll find a way to fix it. And yes it...

Yes sir. Need to either repair the thing install something else. So far seaskin said they would have to replace the zipper... not optimal considering I would have to ship from Canada. Have to figure out something DIY. Will get on a call with them tomorrow.

Right, I am definitely thinking along the lines of diy repair. Not sending in the suit over this. I can definitely see the zipper wearing out faster if this isn't remedied, so I will have to figure something out!

I just tried donning it on my own and forced too hard to get it over the shoulders. Force isn't always the answer lol.

 While trying on the brand new suit, I managed to rip the little strap which holds the zipper together, and prevents it from being stretched open all the way. See the pic below. Has this happened to any of you? Is this a tragedy? How fixable is this? HELP! lol

Thanks, yes it's definitely exciting. I did order the suit with allowance for heavy undergarments - I dive great lakes in Ontario, Canada. In the pic I am wearing a 250g thinsulate undergarment made by them. Gloves are Kubi. Boots are built in tech boots.

The eagle has landed!! I think the fit is great, but I don't really have a frame of reference. Here's a video: VIDEO Suit and undergarments seem to be of excellent construction, better than expected. Now just gotta dive it! ;)

Well, thanks to this thread, I am officially joining the Seaskin club. Just got the order confirmation for my Nova with January 14 as proposed dispatch date. The cost of the suit pretty much fully loaded, along with 250g Undies, 150g Shorty, 150g Thinsulate Knee high Socks, tech base top and...

Very interesting (and concerning), but no, vaccine is not relevant in my case. Thank you guys for your responses!

    HELP! Ear Ringing / Tinnitus!?

Hello everyone, I was diving at least once a week steady through August/September/October, when about a month ago as everything got quiet as I was going to sleep, I noticed a ringing in my ears (hard to tell which side it's coming from). I did NOT have any sort of an event while diving -...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I think this topic may have been hammered to death in the 115 pages of this thread, but would you recommend the option for allowance for heavy garments? I am in Canada diving great lakes. My guess is for majority of dives 250 will be plenty but maybe heavier garment would be helpful on some...

It would only be a problem if the photographer is running a decent flash while taking photos. I too am trying to decide whether to keep the reflective bands or remove for my order, but I’m deciding mostly for the looks of the suit!

    DIVE RITE CX1 vs CX2???

😂All fair points, not to mention the few pounds of lead you can shed to offset its mass lol Thanks for the feedback guys.

    DIVE RITE CX1 vs CX2???

That is exactly my plan as well, and CX1 sits very well balanced on top of hand. Is that what you have found in practice? How do the lumen outputs compare? Is the CX2 significantly brighter?

    DIVE RITE CX1 vs CX2???

Hi all, I've got a local dealer who still has a few CX1's in stock - willing to offer a good price. Will be using as a primary rec light, then move to backup role later on. I was initially looking to pick up the CX2, but held the CX1 in hand and I love its form factor - short and compact...

DIR- Generic HELP DECIDE - Steel HP133

Yes agreed, that was the rationale. As I also mentioned, these are the only two tanks that I plan to own for the foreseeable future. Even though a smaller tank would be more optimal on some shallower/shorter/warmer dives, these would still work and seem to be the best all-around solution for me...
