To disassemble the lens side, it's quite simple.
You have to make a tool to maintain the light body tightly, while using another tool to unscrew the lens.
For the body, I used a piece/plank of oakwood in which I drilled a hole just a little smaller than the diameter of the body.
You cut the...
Before repairing the led board, I checked that the PWM regulation was OK
With an ocilloscope, it's a quick check and everything is ok with the 4 different power levels.
For the beginning here are three pictures of the led board, logic circuit with battery monitoring and regulation board with the Mosfet (for PWM modulation)
I finally managed to disassemble the entire light head into parts.
If anyone is interested into pictures of the inside or sharing my method to open it, feel free to ask, I will do a post about it.
I created a new post in the DIY "Repair your own gear" because I find it to be a better place for my needs, I think.
This post here can be deleted if needed.
Hello.
I just got a bigblue TL4800PC Slim (or maybe a 4500...I don't know how to differenciate them) for free, and I am trying to repair it.
One led doesn't light up and the three other are dim.
I want to open the light head in order to check the leds and the board.
Does someone knows how...
I am not sure to follow/understand your explanation.
Why do the canister should flood at depth ? They are meant to be pressure proof aren't they ?
In my opinion, the OP valve role was to evacuate gas in case of a battery thermal runaway during use or charge.
Maybe I am wrong, but if you have...
That's what I was thinking about at first : "are they relief valve or are they rupture discs".
Seems that they are maybe more rupture discs than "valve"
I'll use Li-Ion batteries.
I thought about the OPV for regulator, it's an idea.
I was just wondering where the actual relief valves that we can find on canisters were sold... ?
You can easily find DeepSea valves (essentially made for ROV or deep missions) but they are even more expensive than a...
Hello,
I am currently designing a DIY Canister for light/heating.
I want to add a pressure relief valve in case of a battery gas leak (commercial canisters usually put this kind of valve)
Do you know where I can find them ?
Thank you
I own a Perdix AI and some of my diving friends have Perdix AI and OSTCs.
Everyone seems satisfied with both of them and there are really few complaints.
Screen clarity seems to be for the OSTC when on surface but really no difference when underwater.
For the AI option, you're the only one to...
