Yes. That is exactly what I did and it worked on the first try :) It took a bit to get the APK unzipped on a desktop and the file moved to the Pixel 6a phone...but, after that, no issues. Anyone know of an updated user manual for the updated FW? I only have the "Version 1.0 Beta" user manual.

I downloaded the new FW, installed it on my D6 Excursion...will hopefully dive it today :)

I know the 4th gen S600s[2010 and newer, see pics, unsure when that gen ended] have metal air barrels. I have Gen1 and Gen 2 S600s that came with plastic air barrels...and those now have the 4th gen S600 internal parts [case, diaphram, cover all original]...but that only matters if you believe...

Sorry, newb to Dive PC to laptop interfacing.....are you guys downloading Subsurface as an app to connect to the Excursion via bluetooth? edit: my laptop is trying to connect to the Excusion but the bluetooth {BT} app is asking for a PIN #. i tried "0000" but that did not work :P
