North Sulawesi trip - May 2018

I already have my place picked out, so not going to change that. I tend to be a person of my word and am done with the shopping around. it's actually not that expensive for a week for a room to myself, but who wouldn't mind saving a few hundred dollars. :)

North Sulawesi trip - May 2018

Hi Fellow Scuba Boarders, I planned a trip with a few friends to the north Sulawesi area for 12 nights at the end of May of 2019, but had some friends back out of the trip. We are doing 4 nights in Manado diving Bunaken, 4 nights on Bangka diving there, then 4 nights in Lembeh. We're also...

    Best non-liveaboard diving in Cuba?

I was on Aggressor last year. People on the Avalon seemed to enjoy their trip though. (We saw them in port)

    Best non-liveaboard diving in Cuba?

I did it last summer. I wouldn't say I wasn't impressed, just they did it kind of weird. We started out at multiple beautiful dive sites and were seeing sharks and big groupers swimming around, very nice. Then after several of those type of sites they take you to a "normal" site, with...

    Best non-liveaboard diving in Cuba?

It sounds like in Gardens of the Queen. In the sites they hadn't previously fed the bigger fish, there weren't a lot of large fish. Great corals and formations, and nice dives, but nothing "special". Then again, that is often the case with many Caribbean sites.

    Inquire Varadero Cuba dive ops

Would you say the diving is good enough in the bay of pigs/zapata area that it would be worth doing a liveaboard?

Cuba south coast- Isla de Juventad, Playa Giron (Zapata Pennisula)

I know this is old know, but would you say the diving in the Zapata area was worth it? I have a chance to go on a liveaboard there this year for a fairly reasonable price. I really enjoyed most of the Gardens of the Queens last year, though some areas were just very nice corals and not a...

    Best non-liveaboard diving in Cuba?

Can anyone say how the scuba diving is in the Zapata/Bay of Pigs area? Looking through this it was hard to tell what was actually in that area.

Liveaboard - August in Sea of Cortez - Citizen Science Trip.

Hi. I'm looking for some fellow divers to join me on a "Citizen Science" trip in the north part of the Sea of Cortez Aug 6th-13th. You fly into Phoenix and take a van down to Mexico to catch the boat. The liveaboard boat is called the Quino El Guardian, and they love to do what they call...

St. Kitts vs St. Lucia vs Barbados for best diving experience - Info Needed

If you get away from the close bay, Barbados has very nice reefs. St. Lucia also has great diving near the Pitons. So you couldn't go wrong at either place. (Been to St. Lucia twice, and going back to barbados for a second time in the next year or two)

    Sandals Resorts in May

I have been to several Sandals and have loved the resorts. The diving on the other hand can be an issue. Usually you can't dive your computer and are stuck with a bunch of beginners, even though they are supposed to separate the beginners from more advanced. It wouldn't be unusual for an...

    Diving Cancun.....

I've been diving in Cancun several times (with Scorpio Divers a few times) and have always enjoyed the diving. The large schools of fish and interesting reef structure make for some nice dives. In the winter, I love the wrecks and watching the school of Eagle Rays.. I've seen up to 15 or...

Sealife Sea Dragon 2000 video light, or Sola 2000 F video light

Anyone used either of these lights? I was looking at getting a video light for my Sealife DC1400, but hadn't heard any reviews yet on the new Sealife video light. I can get them at the same price right now.. No o-rings on the Sola, 2 o-rings on the Sea Dragon, which you have to lube...

Warm Feet in a dry suit

Hi, Thanks to the great package deal that White's had going on, I'm the proud owner of a Fusion One dry suit. The suit came with 3mm neoprene socks. Would people recommend wearing those over the feet first, and then some sort of smart wool type sock over that? (Or vice versa?) If so, how...

Palau Dive Adventures - Nov 2013

Hi. My wife and I are going diving with Palau Dive Adventures Nov 4-8th. Just wondering if anyone else happens to be going at the same time? They only take a max of 10 people, so would be great to get some other experienced people on the boat with us. -Trent
