I still use one... works great. It's not the same as the datamax sport, closest I can think of would be the Prodigy. Probably same algorithm, but I like the Matrix much better.

That is what is known as a "pre-95 balanced piston first stage". I have two of them. Do you have any specifics on the HP end upgrade? I've been diving mine for years with no problem.

Does anyone have any insight on interpreting the surf report in regards to Hanauma Bay? From looking at a map, it looks like east surf would have a larger impact in the bay, but it south may affect conditions also. Do the surf conditions even have much of an impact inside the bay?

Has anyone been diving in Hanauma Bay in the last few years? I haven't been out there in about 15 years and I was thinking about heading there this weekend. I can't remember which way (if any) was a better dive, to the right or the left once you get out past the reef. Mahalo! Bill

I agree with the "try before you buy" idea. My wife recently bought the non-i3 version of the Pearl and loves it. She tried on about 10 different BCD's, and when she put the Pearl on, that was it.

One more vote for the Stiletto. I love mine. I dove a Zeagle Tech for about 14yrs before that. Very well made and durable.

Well, I took out the plug. The hole is much bigger than a LP hose connection. Tried a HP hose too. Bigger than that too. The plot thickens....... I opened it up and it is pristine on the inside. I don't think it has ever been in the water. Sorry Joe - not giving this one up :D
