Many of the more reliable forecast models show Isaac weakening and moving over the western Caribbean as an open wave, the hurricane center said earlier Friday. Let's hope that holds true.

Blue Angel breakfasts are made to order. Light (bagel and cream cheese) to heavy (Diver’s Omelet consisting of
Sweet peppers, onion, spinach, mushroom, ham and bacon with melted Cheese holding it all together). As good as it gets IMO.
Same happened to me on a multi-level dive. Used to descending then ascending upright. Slow ascent, not in upright position and air from BCD would not escape. Now I know better - use the rear dump valve when trying to get back down :)
I was there mid-September last year. This was when Maria was beating up Puerto Rico and cruise ships detoured from that area to Coz. Ocean was like a bathtub all 7 days - warm and flat.
We did not purchase trip insurance.
As far as tipping goes.. I would tip more than the states on the smaller boats because of the level of service. They set up the gear for me on both dives (and I hate switching tanks myself). I tipped 300 pesos (about $18). Elloti my dive master got a little more so she could buy more high heels :)
Book SW at the most reasonable fare you'd expect to pay. If you find a better deal cancel and rebook / "bank" the difference. Use the SW low fare calendar.
I just stayed there for 7 nights. Ditto on most everything you say. I brought a plastic bag full of TP down to the public restrooms and dumped it there when necessary - that took care of that. Dive gear storage was a breeze - dunk it, have a beer while it dries a little then put it out on the...
+1. We just spent 7 nights at Blue Angel and ate every meal at their restaurant. The free breakfast served 6 to 11:30 is a made to order and is a full breakfast - everything on the menu. Everything was yum yum yum with a fantastic staff. Happy Hour is 4-6 :)
