The way I do it is to band it to the back of my doubles with either surgical tubbing or tire intertubes. Works for me.

    SEALS, Drager, 02 toxicity

The grenades had already stopped. They were about in the middle of the channel when they heard a large ship. They dove to the bottom of the channel, approx. 50FSW. What else do you have to do when on the bottom, but wait.

Get a Drysuite. The place I used to dive in the "Summer" was 36 degrees on the bottom. A little Argon and Drysuit, nice and toasty...:maniac:

    Hpns

Ok let's have a discussion about High Pressure Nervious Syndrome "HPNS". I read in posting somewhere around here, stating that HPNS is brought on by the use of He at extreme depths, 400+FSW. When I took the IANTD course the book I read stated that at first it was thought that He caused HPNS...

warning to massachussetts divers in rockport

Sounds like what you all need is about 200 feet of rope and 3 to 5 dive flags. The flags float on the surface, the joins them togather to form a perimeter around the dive site. The boat comes in to the area, the ropes go into the props, the Goast Guard sees a boat caught in ropes and dive flags...

    Fraction of O2 vs PPO2

Ok dude here goes, Fraction of oxygen referes to the amount or oxygen that you are brearthing. For example, breathing air has 21% 02 or .21 02. PP02 and P02 are the same thing. This stands for partial pressure of oxygen. What this means is: "what's my Partial Pressure of oxygen at a...

    SEALS, Drager, 02 toxicity

The show you all saw on TLC about the SEALS in Panama shows the SEALS diving the Drager LAR V Closed Circut Oxygen Rebreather. Yes, it uses pure O2, that's why you can't go very deep. If you go below about 20 to 25 feet for any leangth of time you run the risk of taking an "O2" hit. That means...

    whats the difference

Well, it kind of looks like a refrigiratore on your back. It's semi closed, "I think", it's real expensive, it's ugly, it take 3 friends to help you put it on. Now that we have the pro's out of the way. I'll think of some con's... Nope couldn't think of any. "Get a Buddy Insperation", it's less...

    Solo diving

Ok, check this out... Old guy I see what you mean by hard facts. Good point, there aren't enough of them. However this is a topic worth discussing. Let me explain. Let's put our selves in a situation for a while. You're diving on a wreck in the Bahamas or the Cayman Islands. You went in...

    O2 Cleaning of Tanks

I have my tanks O2 cleaned every year. Right at the time I have a VIP done. Some people say you need your tanks cleaned some say you don't. It depends on what you are having put in your tank and HOW they are putting it in your tank. If the dive shop uses PRE-mix then you don't need them...

    SHARK FEEDING BANNED IN FLORIDA...

Got to agree with Mario on this one. They are wild animals and we don't need to feed them. Not when there are plenty of beach goers and surfers around.... I feel bad for the people attacked, "don't get me wrong"... but I think it's kinda funny the way people walking in shallow water and...

    Solo diving

Ok Liquid let's talk. You mentioned, "what happens if?". I say that's what planning is for. Before I get in the water I've got a plan, someone else knows what that plan is, they know when I'm going to surface and where I'm going to surface. They know that If they see a red marker or liftbag that...

The question is not HOW DEEP? ...

I don't see why not. The point of doubles is redundantcy. Once you've worked out you RMV (breathing rate) you know what depth you could safely operate to and return from with 1/3 of your gas. Good Luck.
