Hey Dirk, I cannot seem to figure out how to change to imperial on webview. Perhaps I cannot? I have changed it in the windows and android app w/o issue.
Thanks,
Dave
I read through the entire description of coverages docs and still had questions. Called the DAN rep who asked me to call someone else. Unfortunately, all that person did was read off what I had already read and didn't answer my specific questions. In looking at covered events I see no mention...
We are going to do a 5 day w/ them as their reviews are pretty good here. For those of you who dove w/ them, did they provide a group guide? I see pro dive does not (You can pay for one) and I would like the expertise of a local to show us what we likely would miss. Aside from this, we are...
I had an issue getting the cold water cap off and ended up having to drill a new pin hole for the spanner on one of my regs (Frozen on due to quite a bit of corrosion). With that said, I ended up going a hair too deep and drilling through the environmental cap in a spot (Did not damage...
I have an analox EII CO tester that I got in 2013. The sensor is dated from 2012. I know the lifespan of the sensor is 5 years. I know I cannot get my particular type of sensor anymore (Has 3 male pins, not a JST plug). The manual says in lieu of bump gas I can hold my breathe and breathe...
Hey guys, due to COVID I hung up the regulators for a while but am going to get back into things soon (heading to dive in Australia in a few months). I need to go through my D1 HOG first/second stages and more than likely rebuild them if/when I don't like test results, I see. With that said...
I've been looking at reviews and opinions but I'd like to get an answer from those I feel I can trust. We are mostly going to be diving and night life doesn't matter to us. We may use airbnb and rent a car or we may just cab it. See opinions range from Ambergris Caye to Glovers reef to the...
I had purchased a pair of shears from them which had excessive oxidization the first week I used them. I rinsed them daily and after 4 days this is how they looked. This was still while I was on my liveaboard. I deemed this unacceptable so i contacted Scubamax. They advised they could do...
So they say they are 12L tanks but I'm unsure based on markings (S080). Based on the bar listing (207) I'm prone to believing it but they look like AL80s to me. Trying to figure it out for my SAC. They are Luxfer tanks.
Thanks much guys,
Dave
Just had battery replaced about 5 dives ago. DSS bungee mount is very nice but it also includes unused straps which were removed. It also includes the USB cable to sync dive logs. The cable itself ran me over $50. I'll have pics up tomorrow.
$150 shipped obo
I assume it is given that the suunto and it's conservative algorithm will probably lock out on some of the dives I do that the perdix/petrel won't even blink at. Anyone use a suunto as a backup? I really like the computer aside from it being like a nagging wife wanting to go shopping and would...
So it seems physically the Petrel1/2 are the same w/ FW differences and apparently a digital compass on the 2. Is there anything else different on the 1 vs. 2? I do have a wrist analog compass now so that's not a huge deal but I'm curious of the other differences. Depending on price I may go...
A liveaboard I'll be doing uses 12L alum. tanks (I think alum since they say "alloy") I have not found exact dimensions for 12L tanks nor buoyancy characteristics can anyone give a bit of input on this?
Thanks much.
Dave
We'll probably be in Thailand for 2 weeks up to 20 days for wifeys 40th and are looking to dive. I'm just going through liveaboard options and looking at what they offer. A bathroom ensuite is mandatory for us as well as hot water/AC. I would like to dive nitrox given the sheer quantity of...
I dove w/ Scuba Mau years ago pre accident and was looking to find a dive op for one day next month. They have very few trip advisor reviews (2 this year) and nothing really on here that is recent. Making me very leary although they are responsive to emails. If not them I'll probalby dive w/...
I'm using a low volume scubapro orbit mask. Pain is at the bottom of my nose right at the base of my lip and that associated cartilage. It's not a chafing issue but a constant pressure issue. It occurs about 40 minutes into my first dive of the day and goes away the second mask is removed...
Before I went I knew my CC would not cover trucks. I opted not to get the rental company insurance as after reading the fine print it does not cover the other vehicle involved and regardless if I'm at fault they take a $1000 from my CC until they figure out what the insurance companies decide...
I've noticed that is very difficult to crack while upside down. I've played w/ the effort knob w/ no luck. I didn't have the presence of mind to try my other second stage to see if it did it. I've confirmed my IP is good (Within specs), my cracking pressure is about 1" (On the sensitive...
I did this in other countries and it has worked but does anyone offer this in Bonaire? I did some searching and it seems you can buy a prepaid phone but I want to use data, etc. on my phone if possible.
