Do OEM's control who services equipment?

I do most of the service work at our LDS, we do not refuse any brand. If it is a brand we do not carry, we offer the customer some choices. They can leave it with us, we'll send it to an authorized dealer or we'll help them find an authorized dealer. Another option we offer as a last resort...

    Regulator kits

Mike is correct, servicing regulators is very easy if you can follow instructions. The biggest problem people have, is they are in a hurry. To properly clean and service a complete regulator set-up takes 2-1/2 to 3 hours. I have also gone through manufacturers classes to become a service...

The adjustment is very easy to make and takes about 5 minutes to adjust and test, but You will want to have the intermediate pressure checked first.

    Regulator kits

Are your regulators a brand that your LDS carries? If not, they may not be able to get part easily but they should have a repor with other shops that can service it/them and should volunteer to do that for you. It may cost a little more for shipping though.

Ok, so the only thing he has on me is the captain's license. I consider my 18 specialty instructors certifications equal to a captain's license. Does this mean I can open a DS and treat people like $h17?

Children becoming certified in some countries before 12

If the child is mature enough, the minimum age is 10. When I work with these younger students, I watch for ear clearing problems. It's sometimes very difficult to get some of them to understand the concept of clearing the ears. I have refused to allow some to continue until they mature a...

Maybe I'm living right, I see and hear a lot of complaints about people getting berated, belittled and/or ripped off when they go into their LDS. I've been diving for over 15 years, bought all of my gear through a couple of different LDS's and never once have I felt belittled or ripped off...
