    Walk of shame

What kind of computers? If it makes you feel better, most recreational computers are very conservative so I doubt either of you were ever in any real danger... NOT that I'm recommending you use this line of thought when you're under water or out on a trip... If your computer is what you...

    Two Idiots Recover Body

Maybe they've never watched CSI, or cold case, or bones, or NYPD Blue, or numb3rs, or the sheild, or law & order, or miami vice, or monk, or navy NCIS or pacific blue, or third watch, or without a trace, or some other random cop show that's constantly on TV... so they didn't know they were...

    Two Idiots Recover Body

I don't ever plan on finding a body underwater... how in the heck did they figure it was only a matter of time? Where they scuba diving at an old mafia dump site or something?

    Men's Bikini's

I wouldn't wear my underwear to the beach, and I'm sort of under the impression that that's what that site wants me to do. Looks like that site is geared towards chip'n'dales dancers or something...

Write your own standards - Rec Deep Diver, 130' max

I'm just waiting for one of the old timers who got trained back before the great flood and the war to end all wars chimes in with something like: Gotta run 2 miles in under 12 minutes, have first aid, CPR, pass a physical, have had a college level physics class (and passed with a B average)...

    PADI Bashers

You can trash all the agencies all you want, a diver who cares about his well being will realize that a bad instructor can make them all suck equally and take it upon himself to farthur his or her training on his/her own. You become a good diver by actually diving, practicing your skills...

    Scuba Deaths

More 'dangerous' diving, but more training and alot better grasp of their limitations... normally alot better dive planning and better gas management too, along with more practice on how to handle a bad situation should one arise. Hopefully they're more in tune with their gear and up to...

does anyone check log books ?

I was under the impression that if something was going to go horribly wrong with a tank, its usually going to happen when it's being filled. So wouldn't it be to the shops benefit to check regardless of what the tank is going to be used for? Maybe that's not the case though.

    Scuba Deaths

Well, I know if I take a bad fall on a mountain bike, I can lay there all day with a broken back while the rescue team comes and evacuates me. I have a few precious minutes while scuba diving before I'm gonna need a rescue team to recover my corpse. Driving down highways at 110mph we can...

Can someone help me get my NAUI Nitrox C-Card?

Yes, but I'm sure he can find a 3 hour classroom only course to do it through too... which would probably be less time and effort than he's spent trying to get this NAUI mess straightened out.

Can someone help me get my NAUI Nitrox C-Card?

I almost hate to say it, but since you have the training which is the valuable part, and simply need a ccard, maybe you should ask for a refund from the instructor and go get a PADI card or something.

    Scuba Deaths

Scuba is the only sport/hobby/activity that takes place in an enviroment that humans are not made to be in naturally. If our equipment fails and we lack a buddy and/or the proper training... we're done. Pretty easy to see why the there are so many deaths in scuba, wether or not it's more...

does anyone check log books ?

Why would they check for a c-card to get air fills? I could understand if it was nitrox, but alot of people fill up air tanks for uses other than scuba.

My Luggage is so SO heavy!

FYI: When I got my DSS bp/w it was in a tiny box (about the size of the backplate, only a few inches thicker to accomidate the wing/pro harness) that weighed around 9lbs if I recall correctly. The backplate is 6lbs, and DSS sells plastic ones that weigh under 2lbs.

Proper fit for a wetsuit hood?

Hyperstretch (by Henderson) is a stretchy neoprene material, so it stretches out a little bit and has some give to it so it's all around more comfortable. It's easier to put on, and feel better than a normal hood once they are on (in my opinion anyways). Henderson sells hyperstretch wetsuits...

    Beaver lake bluffs water temp?

Last may it was 20-30 feet (towards the end of may), and at the end of november last year it was 20-30 feet... so my guess, of course, would be 20-30 feet vis. I was told by a local shop up here in KC that the surface temps were around 60-65 right now. I know when we went in november...
