Dear Fantasy Dive Travel Customer,
As a valued customer it is important that you are kept up to date on issues happening in Roatan that could potentially affect you and your trip to Fantasy Island Beach and Dive in Resort. Last month, Fantasy Dive Travel (FDT), was choose to resign as the booking agent for Fantasy Island Resort on Roatan. “It’s unfortunate, but true,” says Rich H. FDT president. “The relationship with the resort began with so much promise. However, we are unfortunately unable to continue to work with the current ownership and management of the resort.”

The circumstances behind this decision have a direct effect on every current and future FDT customer.

Unfortunately, ownership and management at Fantasy Island Resort have made threats to not honor current and advance bookings for travelers coming to the island. As a booking agent for the resort, this is not an acceptable way to do business and we will not subject our valued customers to these potential problems or inconveniences.

Needless to say, FDT is working diligently to prevent any awkward or inappropriate situations for our customers. If you feel you may be affected by this situation, we urge you to contact OUR office right away. We value you as a customer and are very disappointed with the situation at Fantasy Island Resort.

First let me say that since we are no longer associated with Fantasy Island Resort and we will be closing this user name. But first we feel that we need to address this issue to the entire scuba board community. I would also like to point out that we do not want to air all of the details in such a public forum since it could not only hurt Fantasy Island Resort but potentially the tourism on the island.

As the press release states “ownership and management at Fantasy Island Resort have made threats to not honor current and advance bookings for travelers coming to the island. As a booking agent for the resort, this is not an acceptable way to do business and we will not subject our valued customers to these potential problems or inconveniences.”.

There appear to be many issues behind the scenes going on that are affecting suppliers, agents and numerous others from getting paid. Unfortunately they are now putting the guests in the middle of their actions. While the guests reservations have been paid in full the resort is currently trying to get the guests to pay again at their booked rate or pay a reduced amount on top of what they booked their reservation at.
If you feel that you may be effected by this and have a upcoming reservation at Fantasy Island resort please contact our office so we can discuss the options that we, several resort owners on the island and the Minister of tourism have put together for those effected.

Wow! One reason to always pre-pay with a credit card. I have known one booking organization that charged 3% more to do so, but worth it.

BTW, "Days of our live" TV program is being canceled after all these years.

3/26-4/2 they had maybe 5 divers, 4/2-9 they looked to have 4. At least that's what I saw on the boats... boat.

Had maybe 25 cruise shippers appear (on Thursday) and they went out for a little norklin.

Consistency in product must be the watchword or this will fail once again. It's really too bad.

Such a nice property that has been thru so many bad changes over the years, and here we go again. Five divers total would be so weird on the dock. I guess the total occupancy was small too. Wild..!!

I was on the same trip dates at RoatanMan. I saw, and took photos of one of their dive boats heading out to CCV wall. They dropped a few divers on the wall (not sure how many) and then proceeded to move over towards the DC to drop snorkelers off. They hung around while the snorkelers did their thing, and then went back for the divers after loading the snorkelers back aboard.

The boat was packed 20+ aboard.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive & Marina, informs you that we have terminated the relationship with the company TIME2DIVE / FANTASY DIVE TRAVEL /HENRY RICH due to inconsistencies and breach of contract payment policies of the reservations generated by this company.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive & Marina notified TIME2DIVE / FANTASY DIVE TRAVEL /HENRY RICH in writing the decision to cancel the contract, and not vice versa, as has been published by this company through emails and websites, damaging the prestige and reliability of our operations. TIME2DIVE / FANTASY DIVE TRAVEL /HENRY RICH was repeatedly assured that FIBR would honor the reservations made by his office if he proceed with payment or we would release all bookings and have rooms available for sale.

Having no positive response from this company or any deposit to cover the amount of the bookings, we felt the need to contact customers directly and inform them of the status of their reservations as "not confirmed", to avoid trouble and unexpected charges on their arrival at the hotel.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive & Marina is a hotel with a long history of hospitality and service, where we take our operations with responsibility and seriousness and we do not wish to be associated to TIME2DIVE / FANTASY DIVE TRAVEL /HENRY RICH for being a company that does not meet its commitments.

We want to show our best disposition to find alternative solutions for this issue to all customers who are being affected by this situation, and let them know we are available to help them with any questions or clarifications.
