November's Catalina Wrinkles Dive was a huge hit with over 30 attendees -- including divers showing up from as far away as Ohio! Everyone is welcome and you don't want miss out on this trip!

About the Catalina Wrinkles Dive
This dive is open to everyone of all skill levels from "I'm not certified yet" to "Do we really have to dive the Andrea Doria again?" Significant others, families and friends are all welcome and you don't have to have a buddy to join us.

Accommodations (Optional)

While many people will get up early on Saturday or Sunday morning to catch a boat to Catalina and then take a late boat out at the end of the day, some of us will be spending the whole weekend on Catalina Island. Group dinners will be organized both evenings for anyone who wishes to attend.

Special Weekend Package through the Seaport Village Inn:

Christian (Headhunter) has once again outdone himself in securing an amazing deal with the Seaport Village for those who wish to stay for the weekend. Compare to 2 nights at the Hermosa + Boat Ticket for $170.

Room Rates: $139 per person for the weekend (based on double occupancy) or $220 for a single room. You may book with a roommate or book on your own and will be assigned a room with another member.

This package includes:

• Rountrip Transportation to Catalina on the Catalina Express
• Shuttle on Arrival and Departure
• Accommodations on Friday and Saturday night
• Hot Breakfast each morning

To secure this deal you must ask for The Dive Matrix package. November's group sold the hotel out and that was in winter.
Rooms will almost certainly sell out so make your reservation early.

For anyone considering staying at the Seaport Village, I spoke with Raul (the hotel manager) today and he informed me that they're starting to fill up with limited doubles available. There's already a good number of people booked from our group so if you're still thinking about making a reservation, I'd suggest you call soon to insure you get a space.

All standard rooms are booked, but there are other rooms still available.

Since he's only got a couple of each of the different kinds of rooms left, he's making it easy and will simply give us $50 off of any of the remaining rooms.

For those of you who missed on the Seaport Village deal and can't find something you like with the $50 discount Headhunter mentioned, keep in mind that the Hermosa still has rooms and comes in at a fairly similar price. If you've not stayed there before, it's just a couple of blocks away from the Seaport village and is next to the main Vons putting you right in the heart of downtown Avalon.

- A E Room (near bath) is $55/ night
- A B Room (private cottage) is $80 / night

Catalina Express // Daily Trips To Catalina Island - Catalina Express tickets are $60

And you certainly don't have to say both nights (or either night) to join the dive.

As D_B said, you are more than welcome to come along regardless of your skill level. In fact, one of the benefits of the Wrinkles dives is that they give you an opportunity to get some tips and pointers from more experienced divers if you so chose. In any event we hope to see you there!
