Can these be used for recreational diving with RK3 fins? Are the in-soles comfortable? I have sensitive feet and struggle with most dive shoes that I've found.
You can use them for anything you want, they are just shoes. The insoles are thin rubber so that they dry quickly. They wouldn't be comfortable standing around on concrete all day.

nobody mentioned "Chuck Taylors"....

I thought about those but they actually have pretty thin soles for what I was wanting.

As for me, I ended up going with the Henderson Aquatics 3mm Thermoprene Low Top Boot, which fit my needs perfectly -- the sole has a layer of felt and a firm layer you can hear when you knock on the sole. It protected my sensitive feet from pain during some rocky Bonaire shore entries, while still fitting fine in my normal fins. I liked the low tops that covered my ankles but could still be pulled on and off relatively easily, with no zippers, but did not cause my wetsuit legs to retain water when exiting a dive.

I haven’t dove Okinawa yet, but my dive buddy for one trip travels there frequently. He has the felt bottom boots. He said it’s because you have to walk out across the reef for a lot of dives, and the felt is to protect the reef.

I agree with this, and I have about the same number of them.

I tried being cheap and bought other styles and brands and they were rubbish , being not up to the task or build quality.
Now I only use 2 styles of boots on rocks [as in the top photo] and crushed coral, Aqualung Super Zip or Enth Degree for very rough ground , as in the shot above.
Being old and lazy I also want them easy on and off, not fighting to get them off wet and on dry.

Edit: And a pair of Scubapro boots [ not cheap ] were also rubbish and not up to the task, which was sad, they looked nice, but having a face like a slapped arse, who cares how you look, right? 😊
Thanks for the info. What model of ScubaPro boots are not up to task? One of my local dive shops specifically recommended/showed Delta 5s For Bonaire. There were features I liked, but I question the soles (don’t appear to be hard enough).
