1 component adhesive on old 2 component adhesive

I would like to replace the cuffs on my drysuit.
Up to now, I have always used a 2-component adhesive.
I still have 1 component adhesive from a drysuit repair kit here.
Is there a problem using a 1-component adhesive on an old 2-component adhesive?

How old and what brand is the 1 part adhesive. Even sealed tightly, it's still constantly off-gassing and changing.

Rough up the old then use two or three coats
