Question Tricks/Hacks to stretch bungee around tank valve?

Which bungee setup? There are several. I am using a 1980s style bungee around the valve knob, which is pointing down, not to the side, (twists 45 deg out while being used), and it is easy to use (with a thumb) as it is not overly tight.

Are the loops clipped off to your chest with a bolt snap on a quicklink or are they floating around free?

I haven't modified the "stock" setup, so I believe the answer is floating free. Once hooked up, the tank necks are in my armpits
