I generally deal with Aquarius, off HWY-1 at Del Monte, in Monterey, though don't quite know what they have in their rental fleet, and frankly don't even know what a "semi-dry suit" happens to be (what -- is that like semiautomatic or semi-pregnant?). Any decent-fitting 7 mm wetsuit should just be fine, while actively swimming, which is what I typically use, since my current drysuit has a zipper across the back -- yeah, there's a brilliant gaffe -- and is a drag to use, if diving solo, which I frequently do . . .
Thanks. It seems I will make do with a 7 mm wetsuit rental—nobody rents semi-dry. I was fitted yesterday and have a pool session booked in January to figure our weighting and trim.

Heading down this weekend to dive and work with some classes. Anyone have a clue on how conditions are shaping up? Looks like there may be some wave activity and swell, but just wanted to see if anyone is hearing/seeing something different.

Happy bubble blowing!

I was down there yesterday, running errands, and the reports from the Monterey side, at least, were less than five feet.

It was relatively flat, though, along Cannery Row -- but the waves hitting Pt. Pinos, were clearly visible from HWY-1 . . .

Watching the McAbee and San Carlos cams is what I saw as well Big Bella (flat and relatively calm) too. Looking forward to getting there tomorrow and getting under. thanks for the response!
