Went down to Jupiter and Singer Island for some dives and to find some bugs for mini season a couple weeks ago-
The water was hot! ~84-86F
It was a bit sporty offshore, but the visibility was good.
Earlier in the week we dove with Kyalami (my first time with them).
Both Saturday and Sunday were pretty full, the boat is very nice and the diesel actually doesn't stink!
It's a bit narrow so it was definitely a bit rocky vs the big cattle boats in the keys.

Visibility Saturday and Sunday was very good with at least 50ft and usually more.

We stayed down on Singer Island and dove with Calypso for mini season both Wednesday and Thursday.
Both days the current was strange, going South most of the time and even switching around multiple times during the dive on Thursday.
They were great to dive with for Lobster as they went a lot farther than their normal dives; they seemed to actually care that we were finding lobster.
Calypso puts a guide in the water to drag the ball, and she was helpful in pointing out lobster if you were close enough to see her.
Everyone on the boat left with lobster both days!

On Wednesday night I did a solo night dive- being my first night dive there, I was thrilled that I came across two seahorses and an octopus (my first octopus).
It was a super relaxing 1:47 dive!

Tons of loggerheads and some hawksbills this time of year! Here's a quick video of the drift dives, enjoy!

Where did you do a night dive at? BHB?

Two good charters!

I'm glad you made it to the bridge, it looks like you had a good trip down here.

Prevailing current in that area is 2-3 knots North, but I have seen anywhere from 6N to 2S. As the gulf stream moves in & out, the currents change constantly. South Florida waters are not like the northeast US. Up there you can just about set your watch by the tidal flows. Down here, it's a roll of the dice every day.

How many lobsters per person do you think you guys took in on that trip? & how deep were you? I'm wondering how plentiful the lobster crop is this year. I haven't gone out & grabbed any myself yet.

Calypso took us an hour south which was nice. I'd say the average was 5 with a couple people hitting their limit.
Depths were average both days about 45ft with a max of about 70ft.

Thanks, I really like what comes out of the Osmo Action! Just wish I could zoom or do macros sometimes!
Your videos look great. What version of the Osmo Action do you have? I'm eyeing the new Action 3 but have not found any underwater samples yet..
