Yeah this video is absolutely garbage. I can speak about Seychelles as I'm from there and know what was happening. Its missing a shed loads of additional information such as the island was more or less in total lock down until vaccinations were in place. Mate do your self a favor, stop watching this type of garbage

As a brand new member and this happens to be the first threat I click on. This just needs to be deleted entirely. This guy is a wackadoodle lunatic who watched a video and somehow bought into it. I thought you needed to be smarter than that to scuba dive or you just die underwater. No group should allow bald-faced conspiracy theories to be posted and spread. It's not even related to diving it's Loosely related to international travel. Definitely not a great introduction to the group or the community.
It does get weird around here sometimes but, for the most part, people are pretty level headed. Just look at me, for example.

I was going to write a sarcastic, humorous post about the 'DCS Hoax' that has tricked all the weak minded sheeple into spending thousands of dollars on dive computers and how the industry of hyperbaric physiology makes millions promoting the hoax. As an industry insider, I could even do a YouTube video and expose the whole thing. You know I could get some idiots to actually believe it.
Early in the pandemic, I could understand these ideologies. But now, it's just too sad.

Haven't been diving, so that's the primary reason, a little snorkeling recently, but that's all. Life has put me on a different path. I did a great snorkel last year though with tons of sea lions off of La Paz, Baja Mexico though. The big island...forget the name.
But I have reason to visit Ternate / Tidore. And I thought, maybe I might go scuba diving again after 10+ years. Especially as I'm reading about Halmahera which is nearby.

And I noticed Indonesia changed color, finally allowing unvax (w/ quarantine). Which is still too much, and I would just skip Indonesia, but my RTW trip isn't planned until late next year (2023), so maybe all this will go away like it has for many other countries already (Traveloffpath.com is a good source for this kind of news)

There are some token exceptions...but it sounds like everyone will be force vaccinated if they want to enter Indonesia.
