My understanding is that empirically, Haldane found the limit was a multiplicative factor of ambient pressure. I think originally about 2x, later backed off a bit, but still some factor of ambient. With ambient pressure on the horizontal axis, the M-Value line would always increase (for positive multiplicative factor).

See e.g. "Robert Workman" at Dive-Tech: Decompression theory - Robert Workman and Prof A Buhlmann (off the top of google's list)

Over say 40 dives in 12 days it will make a difference.
I routinely did 30-40 dives in a week in 80' -180' /25-55m using ~90/90 and turning off my computer every night to keep it from tracking 02 or slow tissues. Last dive or two of the day would often have a little deco but the first 4 or 5 were of direct ascents with any decompression obligations clearing before surfacing.
I cannot imagine using a lo GFlo having any benefits for me but I imagine you are right that over time the accrued difference will act as a penalty for those who do.

I don't understand what you hope to gain with the quoted statement. Computers will "catch up" when you turn them on and update all tissue compartments and CNS based on previously stored information.

Did you mean that you removed the battery to clear the tissues?

I mean my computers have an on/off switch and have no memory or ability to track dives when turned off.

Hi,
For a good understanding of GF setting for deco diving, I recommend you to follow Prof. Simon Mitchell. Videos of his conferences about it are available on Utube. Not only he is a good CCR diver & a famous doctor doing research on diving topics, but he is also a very clear teacher ...
PS : For air deco dives I use GF 50/70, and for no-deco dives I use a GF(high) of 90.
Kind bubbles & regards
