Atomic Aquatics B1 parts interchangeability

While I was servicing my second stage today in anticipation of leaving for some diving next Sunday, the front cover on my B1 second stage disintegrated. Everything else seems fine but I'm having a hard time finding a replacement B1 front cover. I'm assuming this is due to it being a pretty old model at this point. Does anyone know if B2 or other parts are interchangeable?

Some Are, but my guess is that these are the newer style cover which require all of the newer style cover parts.

I may have a B1 old style cover, but it may be in some weird color. I'd just send it to you, as I no longer have any B1 regulators, or I may also have some TI1 or 2 or M1 covers, which will fit.

I agree, I believe the 2 series covers are slightly different - I have both.

If the Wookie can't help maybe contact scared silly here on SB - he works on and sells used Atomic.

Otherwise you can buy an ST1 cover. I don't know that an M1 cover would work as they use a cave ring.

Hey I appreciate the reply. I got a message back from Scared Silly when I'm PM'd him about a B1 cover that the B2 color kit can convert a B1, so since it was next day on Amazon I just pulled the trigger on that. I'll update here once I install it to confirm in case anyone else runs across this thread.

Thanks for the kind words. One of the things I like about Atomics is the interchangeability of parts. It is rare that one needs to replace multiple parts but in the case of the purge cover one needs both the cover and the cover ring. It is not an absolute but if ya want things to fit nicely both are needed. Had I not been away from home I could have gotten a B1 replacement cover but instead the OP bought a color kit and did a complete 2nd stage upgrade.

I have an old T2 regulator that that happened to and wound up putting a B2 cover on that as there were no T2`s available when I did that. This was pre Scubaboard. Don`t know if T2`s are available here or not, but it looks pretty good in B2 regalia.

Any of those early Atomic purge covers still available ? I have aquired an early Ti1 and a B1 or Z1. The covers were completely shot but the rest of the regs look good. The one I think is a Ti1 has a metal cover ring and early style diaphragm retainer ring ( low profile not the castle style ) .
