That's a Poseidon Jetstream with 2960 first stage.
These do NOT need to be serviced any more frequently than anything else, BUT they do require some extra attention to the needle and piston when servicing and this is often overlooked. @rsingler is a great resource for these and his reg repair course is probably better than the factory one.

Strangely enough, I always saw more issues with the pistons and seats than the needle itself . . .

I can never remember which first stage was officially with "odin" so I just call them out by their part numbers. Either way the needle needs to be replaced because it is likely leaning over one way or another but generally speaking the pistons are what almost always needs to be replaced. They're less than $10 and I treat them similar to SPG spools. I can fix them, but for as cheap as they are I would just as soon replace them

And just to be persnickety, I almost never replace the valve pistons. :D I just wrap the shaft in a tiny square of paper to keep the chuck from scoring the shaft, stick it in a drill motor and pinch the tip with a bit of Micromesh.
Two minutes. New piston. I'm cheaper than @tbone1004 :wink:

So based on the research found on the forum, I will need the 3891 kit and it's found on DGX. what about the other parts? Dont think I saw them listed on DGX?

whats a good source?

edit: ohh haha, he responded to the thread. @rsingler - are you just shining up the piston head and giving it a new 'seat,' like when you install a new piston you scotch brite / ball hone it for cross-hatching so the new piston rings seat?

The former, more than the latter. I try for a mirror finish on the valve piston, to better mate with the hole in the HP seat.
 
Other than the special tool, anyone else have DIY tools for the valve housing? I havent taken it apart yet. Im all about DIY tools too.

If not, any source for USA purchasing?

The regulator looks good. The PO was a dive instructor, took did his own work and all things were in good condition compared to what I've seen in person for stored used stuff. He even gassed it up and inhaled out of it for me.

EdiT: So I unscrewed the hose and popped out the valve piece and unscrewed the 2 pieces to just look at. Then put it back together. I then added air but it just kept free flowing. I tried opening it under water but still did it.

What could it be? It gassed up fine when the PO did it.

EDIT: hmm, looks like when I turned the valve housing with a coin after I took off the hose, it unscrewed the housing without the tool. Looks like the notch inside the jetstream body held it so I could unscrew it with the coin.

best to just get the tool, the one from Scuba Clinic is fine.

Is this what the tool should be used to take apart?

EDIT- yup, thats what the youtube video shows. Just confused since it came off so easily with the jetstream body housing that kept it in place.
