I didn't intend to mislead you about the IP match it has changed since I last checked it before today.
They are still plenty good enough however!

Do you mean the 2 50s I mentioned? Yeah that's right I don't have those VIP'd, yet but they are done being painted and sealed. Two spray cans of cold galvanized and 2 cans of clear coat on each tank, wet sanded with 600 before every coat and 0000 steel wool after the final coat. Ready for VIP.

I dressed them up with my double hose and took a picture.

Whether they hold air or not they sure look great. :)

(conshelf is one of those Regs, like a MK 2 that you can dig out of a scrap box and more often than not use it without service)

Exactly, what service

these all came with something else complete for free consoles in another box hoses another can't give them away

as todays uneducated finely accoutred diver head has to spend A THOUSAND BUCKS + on a $@$%*$#$# regulator

Swap uneducated for conned

While I acknowledge the conshelf as a very good regulator, my dislike for the brand goes way way back and many completely obnoxious people associated with them, a personal thing (conshelf is one of those Regs, like a MK 2 that you can dig out of a scrap box and more often than not use it without service)

Very good and funny.

Scubapro Bendsamatic! I dropped those 50's off today. Probably get them back early next week sometime.

Also I setup the spare MK5 I mentioned and checked the IP, it is a solid 130psi @3000 and @300psi
no drift, no creep. I may set up my bench tonight to service the MK5 with the HP failure. If it comes out the same I'll use those 2 MK5s for the project and service the other 2, they are past due anyway.

Added: Broke down the MK5 tonight. Looks like the HP cap may have loosed it took no effort to start the turning to remove. Found the inner HP cap O ring folded in a clump.

Cleaned all the metal in vinegar and warm water, rinsed 'em in warm water then left 'em in Dawn and warm water. Tomorrow I'll finish.

I prefer them in the scrap box

Just got done with service. As a result now I get to experiment within the experiment it just got more fun and interesting, for me anyway.
The IP readings are as follows: @3000psi IP 130psi / @300psi IP 120psi.

So now I have 2 freshly serviced MK5's that match at the high end with a 10psi difference at the low end, 2 other MK5s that have a 2-3psi difference at the high end (130/120 132?/120) but match at the low end. So this means I get to see how much differently the tanks drain with the different 1st stage IPs. I've also decided to keep the AIR 2nd stage as my primary for single tank diving for awhile, also changed the LP hose to the left port for the next dive. I plan to feed both ports at the same time from the same 1st stage to see what happens, that may or not be a dive depending on what happens in the work shop.

So what you’re saying it’s gonna be a long while before you test the air on independent tanks with separate first stages?:(
