What compressor can I get under $4k?

Two things. 1 I have a small dive shop and own Poseidon 135 which is about 4cfm. It is a continuous use compressor I fill my bank of 6 bottles and have never had a problem. Yes it fills slow but I have a beer or 2 while I am waiting. 2 I know nothing of their quality but I just got an email from Alkin they are selling a small compressor for under 4k. alkinusa.com have a look and see if it fits your needs.

The Bangladesh/Malaysia/India compressors on eBay are all pretty close to the same price regardless of which model. You might as well go for the bigger one if you are ok buying from this source. Bauer Breathing Compressor - Capitano 225Bar / 330Bar | eBay. Skip the Poseidon’s, they are Bauer’s cheaper line. I looked at the freighter take-off option myself and decided it wasn’t worth the hassle even though I felt like eBay would back me up if the deal went south. Better plan for some repair costs if you go that route.

I also had a question: is CFM the metric you are looking for? Or do you just want something with a continuous duty cycle and won’t care if it takes a few hours to refill your bank? Just food for thought.

It would be nice to have something reliable and faster than what I have. Each tank takes 35 minutes. It's working for now as I just fill tanks all week and only teach on the weekends. The problem that happens is when I have to fill 12 bottles for the next days. Talking hours to complete. My work around was purchasing more bottles

How long per bottle does it take you? Pretty sure my kiddie is only 2.4

And my Kidde 2.4 actually puts out about 1.8cfm.

SentinelAce depends on what I want to do. 500 psi to 3000 off the compressor about 12 - 15 minutes. If I am in a rush or am mixing then I fill from my bank of 6 4500psi bottles.
