Hey Formernuke. I lived on several bases as a child, and many family members served, but never did myself. I hope I didn’t offend anyone by finding that term funny.


Just did some quick research so now I know what it means.

Urban Dictionary: Butt-hurt; An inappropriately strong negative emotional response from a perceived personal insult. Characterized by strong feelings of shame. Frequently associated with a cessation of communication and overt hostility towards the “aggressor.”

No offense, for us that served it was also taking one up the ass... we used it to make fun of people.

I had one of mine deleted i thought it was on topic but the mods disagree...... so guess what me and dead owls don't give a hoot.

I have better things to do than to get butt hurt because a mod disagrees with me.

Well, since Colliam created this thread and attributed it to me, I might as well have my say. Colliam, ridiculously, put me on a "time out" until Nov 7 on the coz dive ops thread, objecting to my "continued argumentativeness" and off-topic comments.

Unfortuantley @Colliam7 appears to be a coward. Picks a fight (completely unnecessarily), drives a topic that was only slightly off-course straight in to the ground, and then hides behind his ability to silence others with no recourse. Exceedingly unprofessional.

It is not about the deletion of a single post. I don't even remember what I wrote. It's about the precedent it sets.
Silent deletions - potentially changing the meaning of posters words - without so much as a marker indicating they happened are highly unethical.

(It is entertaining just how many people who claim to 'not care' have drifted over here and felt the need to comment.)
(Particularly those who have derailed the pro/anti-derailing thread with a discussion of the US navy...)

Perhaps he has taken the high road and decided not to perpetuate the animosity in this thread. Perhaps he has a life outside the internet and is otherwise occupied. Or best yet, perhaps he is off diving and not just here playing a diver.
