I've been to Cozumel twice in the past 6 months.

We quarantined at home for 2 weeks before going to Coz, and 2 weeks after.

We wore our masks religiously unless we were outdoors or in our hotel room.

We wore masks even when in the presence of our travel companions.

Elevators were limited to 4 people at a time, and we did not allow other people onto the elevator if they were not wearing masks. Without except, the people who refused to wear masks were always Americans.

We washed our hands dozens of times daily.

We threw out $5 tips like crazy. The financial distress there in Coz was extreme. I think in August we left two-hundred $5 bills in Cozumel.

I live in Massachusetts and haven't been able to get out at all this summer. This is mainly due to my crappy work schedule (I have to always work weekends) and my one friend that dives being constantly unavailable. I've tried some Facebook groups but no one's ever free on a Tuesday which is when I can go. One of the dive shops was offering guided dives with a DM but they wanted $180 for a two tank dive which I think is nuts considering I have all my own gear. I'd go solo but my hubby is working from home and doesn't want me doing that so I can't sneak out and dive. So I've pretty much written this season off

Since May 30th I have been underwater for 47 hours and 53 minutes...10 of those hours at night. Almost all at the semi local Quarry. Deepest I have gone this Summer is 66' with an average depth of 31'. Coldest I touched was 48*F and average temp of about 74*F.

Been a good Summer.

Almost all at the semi local Quarry.
Deep, dark quarries are awesome. You can get "night dives" during the middle of the day, if you go deep enough.
At my local dive spots, it's completely dark below 40 feet, with visibility in the 6 to 18 inch range. Doesn't make sense to dive with buddy in those conditions. I've been solo down to 120 feet in zero visibility, but it scares me silly.

Our Quarry is usually pretty good for both light and visibility, at least as deep as I have gone. Gets cold fast as you go through the thermoclines. Vis in general is pretty good...a bad day is 15' and a good day is 60'+.

Thank goodness the great state of Florida opened up early from the stupid corona virus. Been diving since late May.

I've been solo diving more than ever before from a nearby shore site. It's the one thing I let myself do outside of the house. 4-6 dives per week. I know every inch of that place.

We are looking at a Mexico trip at the end of the month probably Cozumel

I came to Moalboal, Philippines just before the lockdown started here. Had a 110 day surface interval then we were able to resume diving, I go 3 days a week since mid July.

Several different dive sites here in central Vancouver Island. We have been diving on average twice a week all this year. Pandemic hasn't slowed us down !!
