Strobes: How do you utilize them?

In theory, I use them to mark the upline from the wreck
In practice, they ruin video and photos. So I either navigate visually (if the vis is decent), run a line, or plan on ascending without the upline. Haven't used a strobe since everyone got cameras and gopros

I like that it is rechargeable and can be charged without removing the battery. Small size is very nice. I think I would prefer a plastic to the aluminum. 100 meters rated...

The ones I have require batteries. I would think that the price difference is nil when you consider that one fact. I'm going to investigate if a rechargeable battery would be an option in the Tektite.

I use them on shot lines on wreck dives for navigation back to it, but recently also using them in a mine diving application to mark the primary reel connection, in the absence of daylight glow that you get in a cave.

The Tektite ones look cool for about the same price as the Mares EOS, but i DO like the option of being able tio switch the strobe to just glowing.
Well i will find out soon enough If its worth the euros.
PS:I just found out that the Tektite can also just light up steady. Good tool for sure.
