I thought conch wasn't harvested in MX. I don't know why I think that, but it's the impression I have had.
 
What is a tuchito? Google isn't a whole lotta help with this word.

Tuchitos is the Mayan word for "boogers". It is used in Cozumel to describe conch ceviche made with the normally-discarded parts of the conch; skin, eye stalks, proboscis, etc. They call it boogers because that's what they look like.

There was a moratorium on harvesting conch in Quintana Roo, but it was lifted and a veda (closed season) put in place that lasts from May 1 to October 31.

I was craving a great steak last night so I tried La Terraza. (corner of 5 Ave & Solas) I had the 10 oz filet mignon and the blue cheese salad. What an awesome dinner! The service was outstanding too. I ended up paying $42 including a 20% tip.
