If you’re only 5’2” check out the short backplate made by Halcyon and one other company (Oxycheq?). I’m 5’5” and it makes a huge difference for me.
They’re suggesting a more affordable option. Plus with OMS, I believe their harness has their name all over the danged thing. Huge walking ad!
Do you use your backplate with Halcyon harness and wing?
It’s BP/W not BC/W.
The bolt holes on BP are standardized at 11” apart. The only difference is that the Halcyon short BP does not have slots for cambands so you would have to use an STA for single tank. Check on the Oxycheq short plate. Most wings can be used with most plates
Ah, gotcha, the friend (BF?) has the same so you want to have the matchy-matchy thing going.
I use my Halcyon BP with the Halcyon harness (I much prefer their webbing) and a Halcyon wing for single tank. For doubles, I use a Dive Rite wing.
Halcyon makes really good wings, but yes they are the highest priced ones as well. What kind of wing do you use? I thought of Halcyon but it's on the pricey side so that's why I was looking at OMS.
