Hello,

We are a new dive centre in Labuan Bajo. We offer daily trips and nitrox if this is what you want. Check out our website www.azulunlimited.com and get to know a little bit more about us. I disagree about eating out in Labuan Bajo. There are nice restaurants around, being Happy Banana the best choice for healthy protein meals.

We wish you the best in your search.

Where do you recommend that your divers stay during their time in LB?

Dragon Dive has nitrox as well
Yes that's right, i forgot they were recently proposing Tech diving.
On the other hand while I'm happy with their suite on ther liveaboard, you should check out they still operate their speedboat, otherwise slow boats are a real pain in the neck.

lol.
Not sure a sushi restaurant is what Chilly is looking for.

I actually love sushi but I don't eat it just everywhere I go. Know what I mean?

Protein, not too much spice, low carbs, veggies fresh fruit

Put it this way, I'm Canadian raised on Alberta beef and a Northern European/British diet. Then cut out most of the carbs

All I know is get AIR CON. The night we spent in LBJ before our liveaboard in a budget room was the hottest I have ever experienced. Got no sleep, and woke up in a pool of sweat. After that I was forced to admit to myself that my backpacking days are behind me.

No aircon means no me as a guest. It's one of my must haves even before food.

So, I'm looking for a dive op that offers Nitrox, fast boat, safe op. Looking for accommodation with aircon near some food that my delicate constitution can tolerate.

In this order

Aircon
NITROX
safety
Fast boat
Bland food, lol

Have you considered back to back LOB?
Mermaid currently has 20% off if you book before June 28. They have nitrox, A/C, and good food, and run a great operation.

LBJ can be hot and dusty and have hoards of backpackers filling up the day boats. Dayboat diving in Komodo can be exausting, rising early to get breakfast and to the boat and then your out all day with no A/C to catch a nap in, then your back in LBJ in the late afternoon tired and hot.

I do prefer Komodo from LOB for many reasons, and when I go land based from Scuba Junkies we still get back late afternoon have a snack and shower, take care of my camera gear, maybe have a nap then a beer or 2 before dinner, then maybe a after dinner beer then it's to bed to rest my 50 something old body to start all over again.
When I decide I can afford it I much prefer LOB.

Mermaid isn't there when I'm planning my trip, at least I don't think she is.

The best of my 13 LOB trips to Komodo, Raja Ampat, GBR, Palau, Galapagos, Cocos, Socorro, and Maldives is with Mermaid I to Komodo.

Mermaid isn't in Komodo during the time that I will be in SE Asia.

You are right. Mermaid I would be in Raja Ampat during winter. I was on that boat in August 2014.

I went to Komodo in December 2012 / January 2013 with Tarata. Not bad, cheap, clean, AC, good diving, good food, but no Nitrox.
