Yes. The boomerang trays place the camera forward of the arms so there is plenty of room for accessories including the macro lens.

The BTS model 4 flex arms that I have are made very specific to their tray. I do not know but am highly doubtful it would work on others. But they do make many other locline flex arms so it is likely you could find one to work.

My experience with BTS is excellent quality but at a premium price and marginal customer service.

what lights are you using in this pic ?I have a the BigBlue flash light now am wondering if that will be sufficient 3100 series . the beneath the surface flex arms you are using comes with the adaptors for securing flash light??

Backscatter is also an excellent source of instructional and product review videos oriented specifically to the underwater videographer. Robin does an excellent job presenting the most important features in a clear manner that not only explains what is important but why it is important.

Would you know of any sites selling used equipment??

Are you using the Backscatter pro on your go pro ??

Check out the classifieds on Wetpixel. It tends to be higher end photography gear but many are into video now.

Yes I called them yesterday and am sold on the pro flip from back scatter they also have a the Ultralight Tray .Its just that I don't know if I can attach my dive light to it and whether it will be to heavy for flex arms .I have read some comments that if you accidentally bump flex arms they may disconnect ,but I see Beneath the surface flex arms have aware that keeps everything together if this happens

Yes, the BTS flex arm is wired and very secure.

What exactly is the Backscatter pro? Is this the Flip filters with the macro lens? Then yes. I use that with my BTS and is in rhwestfall’s pic.

Yes macro lens and filters . Well I guess my gut was right that I should go with the beneath the surface boomerang .And now seeing that the handles won't interfere with the Back Scatter micro lens Im sold .What do you think if I use my flashlight Big Blue 3100 for now ? This might cause buoyancy issues ??

Couple of things.

The BTS tray comes with several flex arm light options including Big Blue. I do not know if your light has the needed mount. There is a universal light mount option and I can tell you that Eric’s Big Blue video lights are too thick to fit that mount.

Second. Dive lights do not work well for video. The beam is too tight/focused. They serve to spotlight an area. You need a video light. These have a broader beam to better light a larger area to video.
