@kelemvor I'd like to believe that Deep6 would survive the current proprietor's departure, as HOG did. I bought HOG regs, again knowing they were a small company but that, it being a fairly generic design, they would be very serviceable by others. I have six HOG D1 first stages that are no longer in production but for which service kits are, for the time being, still available.

I wouldn't put money on that for a while. Chris just bought a certification agency and I think we'll see the two co-mingled a bit. You never know what he's going to come up with.

Which agency? Though I don't agree with Chris on a few things, I do agree heavily with his concerns about the downward spiral that we're seeing.

I never know what I'll come up with either.

Just saying.

Jokes aside, I didn't "buy" the agency, just the guy that is doing US and Canada. It's a partnership. The agency is SNSI.

I went, I saw, I spent two weeks there and 93% of what they have done is what I would have, I had a few ideas that once explained they got excited. The 2% of stuff I am not sure about isn't important and I decided to go in.

I am still doing Deep 6 of course. I am not at this time planning a blend of the two, really I have a few ideas that "could" work that way but more ideas that will work keeping them seperate. I really don't like when training and equipment blend too much anyhow, it hurts educational outcomes by morphing training to a means to an end (selling equipment). Training should be training and stand alone profitable and comprehensive and equipment should be stand alone profitable and quality stuff that people choose because it's good, not because the agency recommends xyz brand, that is lame

Werd, yo!

Chris is a true dive entrepreneur with a deep knowledge of the dive biss.

Whatever course he takes I wish him smooth sailing.
Thank you, whatever course I take, it is unlikely to be smooth sailing...plus I kinda like heeled over, water over the bows, the stays and rigging singing a song in the wind and shouting into the storm.

What attitude? Please send me a link.
No, *We* no longer care.

Please, go turnover the cushions on your "bed", you know the couch in mom's basement. Maybe you and the rest of us will get lucky and you will find a couple quarters.

Use them as a down payment on a clue.

Tobin

Posts like this are why I didn't buy DSS. There is never a good reason to talk to someone like this. Some people do care about where they spend their money.

I bought a DSS rig as a new diver and was truly amazed that Tobin promptly replied all my emails, explaining things unrelated with his business. For example, how to find out the buoyancy of my wetsuit and suchlike. Not even an inkling of being rude. Everything I bought from DSS is very well made.
