Thoughts must go out to the family of the Thai Navy Seal that died in the process of this especially at this time where everyone else is celebrating - his family are having to come to terms with their loss.

Yes, very sad for his family. However, I would imagine that they are happy for the success of the rescue too. His death was not in vain. Similar to the feeling an organ donor's family feels knowing that someone survived because of their loved one.
 
Those are farkin big tanks! Did they shlep those monsters in? Must have been hammering the Weetabix.

I believe these were the tanks shuttled in to pump more air/oxygen into the cave pockets. Amazing series of water pumps sucking out water and air lines pushing air in.

I hadn't been watching the news due to an inbuilt bull filter so had no idea the size of the op. I just believed it to be huge. Now the rescue is over I will have a good look at how they did it.
