Don is my wife's favorite because it doesn't have the bite that some do. What is your favorite comparable to Don Julio? I want to try something different but don't want to drink alone. Tanks.....Bill

It's been a few years since I drank Tequila but if you can find Sauza Conmemorativo Añejo Tequila I used to prefer it to Don Julio's.
US law does not allow Oak Burbon barrels to be reused so they are shipped outside the country and reused for aging other products like Scotch whiskey and Tequila. Conmemorativo is aged 18 months is these oak barrels for a very good competitively priced Tequila.

Don't know how it compares to Don Julio but you might try Maestro Dobel Diamante. I usually buy a bottle at Mega for $25-30 depending on the exchange rate. I think it is a very smooth and good to sip.
