I'm looking for a valve with a 7/8 UNF thread and the handle on the non-standard side, so I can sidemount my HP steel 120s.

Nitrox-compatible valves are preferred.

For example, a Thermo 8080 would be ideal.

You were able to find a LH one?
I just got the tanks, and they came with standard LH valves. I can use one of 'em, but I also need an RH valve for effective sidemounting.

If it looks like a normal scuba valve, that is RH.
*sigh* Well, not really. There appear to be no consistent standards for referring to RH and LH valves. I've searched online, and confusion abounds. Some places say left, some say right. I went with a previous ScubaBoard post that cites the DiveRite website, but I give up. I edited the original post.

Give Bob Henn from Sunshine Scuba a call. I bought my sidemount valves from him. 727-585-0938

I went with modular pro from XS so I'd have a better handle to carry and attach the ring, which added a few bucks I'd assume. Pretty sure i paid somewhere around $100. It's been a year or two now.

Like this one: Amazon.com : XS Scuba DIN Valve : Diving Valves : Sports & Outdoors

I paid more than you'll pay online, but it sounds like @stretchthepenn isn't 100% on which valve he needs. Calling and talking to someone might be beneficial. It also came with a free nitrox fill, which won't help you since you're not local.

I'm sure there's plenty of other shops you could call, I just gave the number for the shop that worked out for me.

ouch. thanks.

I was quoted like $300+ for a new XS Scuba manifold in 7/8. Might as well buy new tanks for that price...

BTW, sorry to hijack your thread, OP
