Honestly? A long weekend diving in Bali is cheaper than a long weekend diving locally for me (if I can get a cheapo Jetstar flight to DPS). I do go for long weekends occasionally.

The diving isn't half bad in Bali either.
Agreed, i've been myself a couple times and I must admit Tulamben at night has become one of my all time favourites!

I go there to see Mola-Mola :D

Well, actually there are quite variety of diving sites in Bali, from muck diving in Secret Bay, Tulamben, etc., wall diving in Menjangan, wreck diving in Kubu & Tulamben, to Pelagic diving in Crystal Bay, Manta Point in Nusa Penida. Diving in Bali is like going on safari in Tanzania. You rent a car, a DM & a driver & start the Diving Safari from Gilimanuk on the north west end of Bali, diving in Secret Bay, Menjangan on day 1, then go east to Pemuteran, next day to Kubu, Tulamben, Seraya, next day to Candi Dasa, next day to Padangbai, next day to Nusa Penida. Each dive sites are different than the others.

What do I think about diving in Bali? We'll, let's the numbers of my diving destinations speak for themselves. I've been diving in Raja Ampat 5 times, Komodo 3 times, Bunaken once, Lembeh twice, Maratua Atoll once, Wakatobi once, Alor once....and drum rolls, please... Bali 9 times. :D
I must admit I wasnt expecting 9! Have you been to Manta point yet??

In your survey I think you also need to ask why you would not want to dive in Bali especially if you already have.
I appreciate the feedback, I will implement that next time ;)

I won't fill in your survey because my opinion will not be reflected with the questions you Ave posted. To me, although there may be soke reasonable diving in Bali, it is more a case of diving being an activity to do on a holiday in BalI, rather than a case of going to Bali for a diving holiday.

But maybe I'might just biased because Bali just does not float my boat, and TBH I don't know why so many Aussies think it's the bees knees. There are better places in Indonesia to go diving.
I appreciate the feedback Mark ;) I'll make sure there's a section for that next time :)

Nice, thats my second favorite after Tulamben. Next time I go o hope to see a mola.

I prefer Amed and Padangbai :)

More interesting and a lot less people.

Good point, I've had the same experience with Padangbai. I've never been to Amed though. Now i'm curious! I'm going to search for vids on youtube :)

My wife and I moved to Bali 7 months ago to use it as a base to dive around SEA.

We have been pleasantly surprised at how good the diving has been in Bali, both in Amed and Padang Bai. Also FAAAAAAR cheaper than Raja Ampat or almost any other destination in Indo that we have tried.
