I've got a Manta Tech Jr. Reel, which seems to have the best design I've seen in a reel. Even so, I found on a recent dive, that I got the line outside of the guide and it got tangled up around the central bolt (axle) on the outside of the plastic spool. A simple solution would be to bend the guide down a tad so that it just rubs against the plastic spool, thereby minimizing the space for the line to get outside the spool. I've got a giant pair of channel locks and I tried using those to clamp the unit down and bend the guide in towards the spool, but it didn't work. After squeezing down, the aluminum guide just snapped back into position. Has anyone had this problem and/or have a solution for bending the guide in towards the spool a bit? Thanks!
