My key is a proximity radio thing and only requires being near the car to unlock the doors & cannot get wet, so I'm forced to have a friend drop me off and pick me up. So... I leave my keys at home.

I paid only 30 dollars to have mine programmed and cut, but the guy asks if you want the key cut, then he looks up the key fob/make in the big book of auto key fobs and takes it over with him to the car with a little box device and that programs the key with the funny turns, etc. Locksmith had it done in 10 mins. I had another copy of the key and fob that came with my car.

Get an older dive truck my dodge dosnt have any of these fancy keys so I have a couple of spare keys that I keep in the truck just for diving I lock the alarm remote in the truck. The dive key just gets put on a bolt snap and snapped onto the bungee cord in one of my pockets. I also have an extra key so that if I am diving with a buddy I can give them one too.

Well since we are reviving a 10 year old thread...

I bought a $5 dry box from the camping section at WalMart. Holds my cell phone, key fob, cash and c-card. I just leave it in my gear bag on the boat. When I'm shore diving, I just leave it with my wife, since she doesn't dive.

Sometimes a little thread necrophilia is a fun other times Im surprised that the threads dont get locked after a year or two with no responses..

Before I got the truck I have now that has a keypad on the side, I would tuck my keys at the bottom of the rear spring. That truck never got stolen, so I guess it was good enough. I know people who leave their keys in the ignition, granted I think I live in one of the safest places in America

I am thinking of getting a dry box to hold the keys inside and dive with it but I am wondering whether it can withstand the pressure or not. Anyone knows?

Otterbox 2000 good to 100 feet - I have an older one that I have taken to 80 feet (I think it is rated for 130 feet) - I put it in a BCD or pocket. No issues yet.

I don't leave keys on the vehicle - I have heard too many stories of stolen vehicles.

Pop the inside hood latch lock so you can open the hood (bonnet) from outside the car or truck. You can't tell visually. Put the keys on the windshield fluid ledge or a similar safe place.
