Jonathan Bird in Stuart Cove diving his Argonaut Kraken and surrounded by sharks.

Jonathan Bird's Blue World

Those sharks are not going to mess with the Kraken.

The reason Jonathan loves the double hose regulator....bubbles out the back.

Wearing the chain mail was a condition of being allowed to shoot right up close to the feeding and handling the sharks for my segment on tonic immobility. Let me tell you, they might "only" be Caribbean Reef sharks, but when there are pushing 50 of those puppies getting fed, they get very aggressive and pushy.

Funny, I have been doing a lot of cave diving segments recently and I have been using single hose regulators/sidemount a lot. This was my first time back on the double hose in about 11 months and I forgot how much I prefer the double hose!! The Kraken is such a great reg to dive with the bubbles out the back, & great breathing!

Any update on Vintage Double Hose getting a listing the the manufactures section?

That is a very good question. I don’t know the answer.

AFAIK, what Bryan told me, is that he applied for it about two months ago, but I don’t think he has heard anything. At first he thought that maybe everyone was too busy during the holidays. I have not talk to Bryan recently.

Locations of Argonaut Kraken regulators around the world

Argonaut Location

May 22nd....I just started adding locations....It will take me a long time to get a pin for every location.....The CSV file with all the waivers in it is difficult to extract addresses from.....So please be patient the map will update as I have time to add to it.

NO I will not share detailed customer information or locations.....Never have....Never will

There are multiple regulators in many cities but I only mark a spot once.

ENJOY!

I have been wanting to see this type of map. This is cool.
Argonaut Location

I don't know any details, but do know that this is at the moment very incomplete. I am looking forward to see it when it get more populated.

Who's got the Kraken in Tucson? I'd love to buy them a beer and see if they'd let me take a quick dip with it to see how I like it.
