One would think the GoPro wouldn't survive at that depth.

There have been reports of the older 197' rated housing surviving well below 300', although the buttons tend to press themselves that deep. Not sure about the real depth limit on the 131' rated housing, though I'll be testing one tomorrow at 100m and will report back on whether they really mean it when they say 131'

Didn't get as deep as I planned to at first because of bailout limitations, but the Hero3+ in its 131' rated case survived about 25 minutes between 240' and 270' just fine and a bit of a scooter back to recreational depths.
It seemed to be having issues with the pressure pressing the buttons from a very shallow (150') depth, but I realized while playing with it on deco that it had been in picture mode...possible that it shifted there itself due to pressure, but it seems more likely that I just set it wrong at the start and then didn't notice because it's on the nose of my DPV. Will confirm it not only stays dry but functions properly next time I'm out deep with it.
