My daughter age 12 just became certified. We went diving in Belize for a week and she did great . However, my diving was more stressful because I wanted to check her air even after she would check and show me. I have noticed the new computers that show your buddy's air supply. Can someone suggest the models they prefer and if they like the ability to monitor their buddy's psi, I feel like it might help me be more at ease? Also, she is using dive tables but would like a computer for her with back light and very simple to start out with, suggestions for her? Thanks!

To answer your initial question, the only computer I know of that monitors a buddy's air supply is a ScubaPro Uwatec Galileo Sol at about $1250 each.
Now, my advice as a non parent, so I know everything about raising kids, right? She's doing a great job, she is showing you her remaining air supply when you ask. As her buddy, you can see if she gets excited or starts breathing hard, just look at her bubbles. She is probably better on air than you are (just because she has smaller lungs), so take a deep breath, smile, relax, and trust her. Some of the best divers I've ever had on a liveaboard are 12 year old girls. Some of the most freaked out divers I've ever had were their parents. If you've taught her well and raised her right, she'll be a great dive buddy and life long dive partner. At least till boys come along. If you frustrate her by not trusting her, she will soon tire of the game.

My Oceanic OC1 has air integration with buddy air. Nice dive computer
The advantage of the Liquivision Lynx is the transducer range is 100 Meters/330'. It can monitor up to 9 transducers. Perhaps the big advantage for a parent is it also has a locator function so you can find that transducer even when out of sight. It can also be used for locate the boat if you hang a transducer there.
The Lynx uses acoustic signals rather than radio frequency to achieve the range. Some reports indicate the signal can be read up to a mile in ideal conditions. I believe they sell family packages so everyone can monitor and locate each other.

The user interface is pretty good. I would say the Atomic Cobalt is easier, but that does not meet your primary objective. I have both.
