Hi, i am new to this forum, and new to diving flashlight. Starting as a green hand, i wanna to consult and learn from you, and hope you can give me a direction.

So i wanna to consult from you which brands of led diving flashlight is the best and the reason why?
Which models are popular in the market?
I believe there are many good manufacturers on LED diving flashlight, could you list some enjoys high reputation on the market for me?
Something like these...

This thread can be a discussion group if you like, appreciated for your recommend!

Thanks in advance!

There is a lot of info in this forum with lots of user reviews and opinions.

Personally I'm an Mb-sub devotee, great lights, great performance and very well made. They are however a little pricey.

If you gave more information re your budget and diving requirements i.e the conditions you dive in and the lights intended usage it will be easier for folks to give more detailed advice.

There is a lot of praise when it comes to the DRIS lights. I myself now have 3. And I think that they are the best recreational dive lights for the money for someone that might only need it several times a year. First they are as mentioned before very affordable. Second they use regular batteries, I'm not a fan of built in rechargeable batteries, unless you are going to use it every week most likely the batteries will be shot in 6 months and have to spend big money to replace them.

I can only speak from personal experience of what I use. In a hand held I really love the Hollis LED 5 and the 3, both are rather compact, put out a ton of light and the aluminum body is near indestructible. In a can inter light I like the Dive Rites.

in retrospect one light I would not recommend is the Hollis LED15, they seem to have a problem with flooding. I have known several users whom have had flooding problems with there lights. including myself where it has flooded twice on me. I have not heard any issues however with the LED25.

hope this is useful.

- Depends on in which price class you are

- Depends on with which divers you hang out

- and that all depends on your diving style ........ and lamp

GreenForce and Light-For-Me are popular european brands

I have both, and they are good - warranty coverage is good with GreenForce and customer support for Light-For-Me also good!

(I see you are in France)

Avoid Magicshine. They can be good lights but quality is not consistent and the manufacturer will not respond.

Customer support for Light-For-Me is good?

No replay to the filled contact form on their site. Wrong e-mail address in the link on their site. Not working skype.
Absolutly useless (and partly wrong) answer from their sales deparment (after manually entering e-mail).
And I have to manually modify their lights to work with my accumulators.

Light-For-Me makes cheap lights with no customer support at all.

I have Greenforce and Metalsub lights and I like them both.

Reliability is king in the lights game and both Greenforce and Metalsub are among the best of the best in my opinion.
