Well, I did it! I bought an xDeep Stealth 2.0 last night! I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival and will update this thread after I get the chance to dive it a bit.

I built my own harness for less than $60.
I like the look of the stealth wing and it would easily work on a home made harness. I don't currently dive mine with a BC though.

I did buy the xDeep system (should be arriving in the mail today) but I also bought a DR trim pillow and rigged it up like the Stealth wing. I've been considering making my own Razor style harness to use with the trim pillow for warm water and using the xDeep system solely as a cold water setup. However, it may not be needed with the xDeep harness. I'll make a few dives with it first and decide...

I had to google trim pillow. That is kinda cool! It appears to be discontinued though :(
Looks like it has webbing straps to possibly run it down my back strap or something.
I only dive my harness with a single AL80 slung on the side.

I just ran some bungees through the webbing to mount it like the Stealth, then added a longer inflation hose. I got lucky enough to find someone selling it on eBay. Technically you really don't need a BCD if your equipment is setup correctly but I do like the peace of mind to have 10 lbs of lift if I ever need it.

Same here, I have never needed one with my harness... BUT... there's always that "what If" scenario. I guess that's what a lift bag would be good for, but I still like the neatness of just having it "integrated".

I found an anchor once while diving the reefs with just my harness. I "rescued it" as treasure and carried it all the way back to shore by bouncing along in sandy patches carrying it LOL. Some lift would have come in handy for sure.

My buddy dives his side mount rebreather with the xDeep stealth and it works very well for him. I don't think you will be upset with either but the stealth is awesome.

If somebody is wondering what to choose, may ask Steve Martin, a sidemount instructor, who has been promoting Razor for a long time but recently can be usually seen in Stealth 2.0:

Steve knows both systems very well and is also known for his impartiality.
