We took the day off Friday 3-22-13 and rented a van for the six of us. Cost is $35 an hour and we went for about 5hrs. We split the cost. In the past I used to rent a car but have become much wiser in my travels. No rental of cars or scooters. No worries about drinking and driving. Tim, Craig, Colleen, Sallye, Kim and me. Mission: Just have fun!!!
Senior Iguana's looking towards Mexcalito's:

Set the timer for this shot of us all. Tim , Sallye, Kim, Me, Colleen, and Craig

Then Punta Moreno. We spent the most time here. The sand was really soft. Premium Don Julio, Blanco, Margaritas were/are very tasty. I seem to remember this was for the cruise ship weenies only before but they accepted our crew on this day. It was a nice relaxing couple of hours. Craig brought his kite and we watched it sail above us as we sipped our drinks. Went for a swim a couple of times (beware of the rip!). Very nice.

Tim being Tim

Craig flying his wonderful, colorful, kite. I liked watching it ride the wind

Off to Coconuts for a quick Sol and enjoy the view. Coconuts looking north

Coconuts looking south

We tried to have a Margarita at the Rasta Bar but it was almost 5:00 and they where closing the bar to head home. Sooo...

Last stop, Albertos for sunset dinner

One more day in the plus column of life. I could almost smell the sweet scent of the flowers on the east side through your pics.

They really have fixed up Punta Moreno over the past couple of years. We used to skip it on our around the island day, but now it's our main stop.

Thanks for the posting the photos. great idea to hire a van.
That's what we have done the past three or four trips. We used to rent a van, but I always had to drive. I got tired of that, and as it happens we found we could hire a taxi van for about the same price as renting. It's really easy; we take cabs for a few days and when we find one the right size with a driver we like, we make a deal. Even when we set it up several days in advance, they always show up on time to pick us up.

Wow, thanks for giving me a serious case of "IMJELLOUSNESS"!!!!!!!

Dr says it's incurable!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the post Joe. It was great diving and hanging out with you all that week.

Already booked the Aldora Suite next year for March 13-23, 2014. Maybe next time you can come on the day off bar crawl with us?
It would be a pleasure to dive with you again, Sir, anytime.
We'll be sharing the suite with our friends Bruce and Amanda from Maryland in March. Amanda is a newish diver and will probably be on another boat and Bruce doesn't dive but likes to fish. I'm predicting My buddy TVMark will be there along with Tim and maybe Craig again. Dennis and Lisa are due for a Cozumel trip as well.
I'll probably be down in the September-October time frame with my pilot buddy Fred. He's a newish diver as well and I'll probably go hunting in the afternoon's with Sallye as he likes to relax, nap and get a massage. As you know, I can't get enough of the diving...

Edit: We started this day with a great lunch at La Condella (Chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese with a wonderful gravy). We can meet ya there Ken, or just stop by the Villa anytime. There is always a beer in the cooler for a friend.
Since watching Craigs kite I ordered my own colorful para-foil travel kite to take with me on my trips, work and pleasure.

Well I have been averaging 3-4 trips to Cozumel a year for the last 5 years and I do not expect that to change unless I do an extended trip to dive elsewhere. I will make an attempt to arrange my schedule to hook up with you as well as Tim and TV Mark. Tim had talked about doing Rescue Diver and I would like to do this course as well. Perhaps we could arrange this on one trip. Seeing the pics of the Aldora Breesway get together I was sorry that I did not come up that day. As much as I like the Mexicana perhaps I will book the Villa next trip...we'll see.
Take care,
K

Hey, Joe - Hope to see you and Fred in September (we're booked at Aldora 17 - 24). Headed for Utila on Friday for a week. John and Linda
