Pix by Joe Chu. It was an OMG moment on the dive too. I was lucky to be there and see it, but thanks Joe for capturing it

Coral-Reefer ~ Our first and second time at Las Anclas was when Pedro still owned it and when we had heard that he sold it, we were really hesitant to go back b/c Pedro was so much of the reason that we kept returning. However, the good news is that Doug and Della bought the place with Jim and Pam. Doug and Della had been staying at Las Anclas for the last 12 years and loved it so much that they bought it. We had met them our first time there and had always hoped to bump into them again. All of the new owners really have honored the traditions that Pedro had instilled in the place. If you are hesitant to return b/c of the sale, I would really encourage you to give it another chance. You will find the same level of hospitality, warmth, and friendship that was so much a part of the magic of the hotel. ;)

We were fortunate enough to dive with NCHU and her husband a couple days and also spend some time at Las Anclas. She nailed it with her review - Tres Pelicanos is top notch and the boat is just as amazing as Joe's photographs. :D Doug, Della, Jim and Pam at Las Anclas are some of the nicest folks I've ever met and immediately make you feel as if you're right at home. The villas are gorgeous and each has it's own special touches. Can't wait to get back over spring break and we really hope to dive with you both again soon!

Is it Jim and Pam Campbell from Wisconsin?

Thanks everyone for the kind words re: my photo's!

Christine - Heya, how are things? Going to Coz anytime soon? I'm already trying to figure out when we can go back again :) I've never done the whale shark swim, so am thinking of going then. Also, I was told of a baby turtle rescue program for which people can volunteer and would definitely like to do that, too.

Crystal - it was great diving with you and your husband! We have bags of peanuts in our home now :) And don't be modest, Keith took amazing! photo's. PM me a link when they're ready. I'm still putting my pics together, but I'm only about 1/3 of the way through. Heh, too heavy on the shutter button, I guess!

JoeinLA If Jeanie is at Tres Pelicanos when you are there she will be glad to hook you up with the turtle conservation program. Her and Mike are big into that and have been doing it for many years. My wife and I went over to the other side of the island with them twice and it is a great experience and a great program.

I just checked them out on the net and am wondering, how did you get yourself and your gear to the dive boat and where is it located?

They store, rinse, transport your gear to the Caletta on their truck. They pay for a cab to take you to and from the Calette (or, if you're staying near a pier, they'll pick you up there).
