Just wanted to throw it out there that John, Megan, and myself are doing a two wreck dive on Wednesday the 17th in Pompano.

We're diving the Guy Harvey and then the RSB-1.

If anyone wants to join us, PM me. There's room for 3 more. We'll be diving on the MissConduct, leaving at 9am.

how deep are those wrecks?

140 and 110

Why does everyone keep referring to that wreck as the RSB-1 lately? That ship was sunk and renamed to honor a local hero, and thus should be called by the name it was given to memorialize Mr. Jim Torgerson, who at the time was the lead explosives expert for Broward County Sheriff's office. Sorry for picking on what many might consider a small point, but I bet those that were involved in the creation of the artificial reef that we all can now enjoy thanks to their efforts, want it referred to as the Jim Torgerson. There are several local charters that have suddenly over the past year or so started referring to the wreck by its former name, the RSB-1. Here is a little story about Jim. Again excuse the correction, but I feel its important to refer to memorials by the name that the memorializers' (sp?) intended it to have.

James Torgerson, Sheriff's Bomb Expert - Sun Sentinel

Enjoy the wrecks, they are both excellent dives. If you have time please post a report regarding water temperature, current and visibility. Im curious what its like after the past few days. Im scheduled to dive that afternoon, near those wrecks, so any information like that would be helpful.

I have got to say DD, that Pompanoe DOES have some great wreck dives, even though I usually go on about Palm Beach ONLY......These were nice to see again. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks! I never dove down there before. So easy with no current.. and not one jewish.....Very different than Palm Beach or Jupiter.

So I guess this is where we send Jeff from the Berg, so that he can have fun spearing without someone's Grandma stealing his dinner :D
