Learning in reverse of you Teller. I dive Quattros wet and Avantis dry, just starting to get the feel that the Avantis are that touch too light for the drysuit; so am considering jetfins. Holding my Quattros up in my wetty is a breeze, no matter what thickness; although I do always wear them with 5mm slip-on booties.

I like OMS Slipstreams which are the same basic shape as the Jet Fin but are a lot lighter. Some divers don't like them.

Same here. The Dive Rite EXPs are light too, and stiff enough for the specialty kicks.

Are the Hollis fins as light as the OMS.

Hollis F1's are heavier, the new Hollis F2's are comparable to OMS Slipstreams

I like my size L Jets for warm water. They're relatively short and fit in a suitcase easily. They do make you a bit foot-heavy, so no springs. I put an ankle weight on my tank neck and all is good.

A few people mentioned Slips. I use them diving dry. Just know that they are much stiffer in comparison to the Jets. (I'm comparing large Jets to XL Slips so that might be part of it though.)

Are the Mares Avanti Quatros fairly stiff, compared to the Jets? I can grab a used pair pretty cheap so I have my eye on them.

+1 for the DR EXPs IMHO... Unless the shortest fin is a concern. Nice spring strap too on the exp.
Only pitfall for me is that depending on the boot it may be a bit tight and hard to get the fin off (ie: in a boot with higher soles for hiking in on a shore dive like maybe the warmer 3mm type diving you were talking about). In my warm water walking boots the spring strap isn't really needed, it's that tight of a foot pocket, then again, I have an unusually high arch...

I use my Jet fins for cold water local diving but I purchased a pair of Cessi Frogs for tropical diving mostly just because the Jets are way heavy considering baggage allowances. i think I save almost 5 pounds of weight. The Frog fins are okay while diving but I don't like the way the strap connection fits to the fin, you can twist it and it will pull out.

I put some Apollo bio springs on mine, made all the difference.
