rofl so i did a google search out of curiosity and found one page that claims to teach you how to put a wet suit on in 6 steps, of which the first 2 are:

1.Make sure the zipper is fully unzipped.
2.
Place legs in proper holes and pull up

please tell me nobody has ever tried putting on a wetsuit with a zipper fully done up and putting their legs in the sleeves lol

A plastic shopping bag will do wonders... with sliding through the wetsuit. Well it will help your feet and hands slide through. as for the rest of your body... just get your wiggle on. :dance2::dance:
That would be my reply. :)

I find with shopping bags that there is too much bag. They act like Knee-high socks, rather than ankle socks, when slipping your feet and hands through the wetsuit. The shopping bag will usually get stuck in the calf-section or forearm area of the wetsuit. You'll have to tug and pull the excess bag out of your wetsuit, once the feet or hands slip out the end.

Short and sweet....doggie poop bags are where it's at!

That would be my reply. :)

Thanks all, I had no idea the a wet wet suit is easier than a dry one...
Not sure if I will try the roll thing or the conditioner/water but I am not so worried now....

Just by the title alone......and when the wife finds it stashed in the trunk of the car???????

Honestly honey, its for scuba......:guillotine:

Ha ha. I can imagine the tricky talk that could produce!

Lucky for me the missus has a terrible time getting into her semi-dry. Not long ago a fellow diver lent her a tub of this "wet suit lubricant" which she loved. She asked what it was, and when they replied "wet stuff" she turned to me and told me to go get a tub. It works very well.

So Im not the only one to pick up on that"

In the Grand Cayman I learned a trick from a local DM. It was funny to watch the first time, but works!
I bought a bottle of water soluble shampoo. The cheap stuff. Cost about $1. Lather it on my ankles, calves and arms (or wherever needed) and my wetsuit "slides" right on. A bottle of water soluble shampoo is now a permanent addition to my gear bag. Being water soluble it does not hurt the environment.

If you're doing multiple dives over multiple days it really loosens up. Once it dries out for a month or so, it'll shrink back a bit.

All the shampoo and lubricant ideas aren't really necessary for a 3 mm or thinner closed cell...meaning the inside is the same as the outside neoprene.....in my opinion. But if you use an open cell, or a slick skinned on the inside style, you'll need it.

In the summer here in Missouri and Arkansas I just jump in the water to get mine on. This really only works if the surface water temps are ~75 F and it is hot out of the water.
