Winter has set in. Time to look forward to one of the highlights of the 'off season' ... the 2012 Our World Underwater dive show!

February 17-19, 2012

Who's all going? We've got to arrange a ScubaBoard GLWC meet up or three over the course of the weekend!

I'm planning on going for sure. Going to check out Duane's presentation on gas managment and also look at drysuits.

Duane's presentation huh? He is the 'gas man,' that's for sure! Just don't let him know that's one reason you're going. His head is big enough!

We will be there unless a trip to cave country pops up..... then all bets are off!!! Looking forward to mayhem and debauchery at the Embassy Suites!!

Is that where past meet ups have been held? I'm at the Doubletree. My wife found me a rate better than any of the official conference hotels. However, I doubt I'll spend much time there except for sleeping.

The Embassy Suites is where the group normally gets together on Saturday night. We have always had a blast! This year unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I will be in Florida playing in the caves.

The doubletree is nice. I stayed there last year and stumbled my way back and forth between the embassy and the doubletree. Enjoy!

I still can't believe you're missing OWU and blowing us off for cave diving!!! You're a WRECK diver man! W. R. E. C. K. DIVER!!!! We got plenty of wet, dark holes up here for you to dive into! :D

True, but you better have that dry suit zipped!!...if you know what I mean...wink, wink.

Yeah, Yeah, I know. I am a wreck diver at heart... But there is something about the challenge of the caves that I have always wanted to do. Now I have extra incentive to GET IT DONE! Sorry guys! I am planning on going to the shipwreck festival in Ann Arbor though.... Wanna go?

Best of luck to you! The caverns and caves are a very cool, surreal experience. I've done Cavern and attempted Intro to Cave. Cavern was a blast and I've done 10 or so cavern dives. Intro to Cave ... not so much. Found out it's not my thing, at least not dealing with the flow. Physically, I'm in shape to handle it. Mentally I'm not. Gotta know your limits. Best of luck! I have little doubt that you'll love it, possibly a bit too much!

Being the weekend after OWU, I'm afraid the Ann Arbor show is out for me. I can't see getting the green light to be gone two weekends in a row. I'd really like to attend some year though. Perhaps 2013.
